Basic Blind Faith
We once learned to distrust superstition and embrace reason. Science, logic and technology helped humanity understand the world, challenge old beliefs and pull us out of the darkness of unquestioned dogma.
But perhaps we didn't stop believing.
Perhaps we simply found new things to believe in.
Basic Blind Faith is an improvised musical inspired by our complicated relationship with objects, technology and the systems we have created to make sense of the world.
A phone knows where we are. A watch knows how well we slept. An algorithm knows what we want. A machine tells us what to do. A number tells us how healthy we are. A five-star rating tells us what to eat.
And sometimes, we trust all of them more than we trust ourselves.
